Antique Shopping Downtown

Saturday was a beautiful day to be outside. Emily and I set out down town for a little Great Harvest and boutique shopping. Here are some of the treasures we ran into.

This lovely little ceramic of a gal and her beau having a picnic was one of the funniest things that I saw. He has such skinny legs. Don't be surprised if you see this on my mantle someday!

Emily really loved this salt and pepper shaker set. It is a spud and the state of Idaho. Perfect for seasoning potatoes if I do say so myself.

This book was written in 1939. If they were having problems clear back then, I really don't feel so bad about having such awful luck! I flipped through it and one of my favorite chapters was entitled: "Knowing When to Sidestep"
Oh and don't worry Clayton, your wings are still there. Emily and I even had a nice chat with a guy from Portland who was snapping pictures of them on his antique camera! All in all it was a great day!

Christina,
I LOVE your blog. It is great entertainment. Thanks for the fun. Just as a word of warning - I am always reading blogs and commenting - so just a head's up! I need to update mine again soon! I love your houseplant of the week thing. And Poe is really cute! I am definately going to buy a pomegranate at the store tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder! =)

They are on Parkway downtown between A and B in an alley just North of the snakebite. Now that you know will you take my picture there in sepia!?
